FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know

Are evaluations necessary prior to initiation of treatment?

In most cases-yes. Unless there has been a Speech and Language Evaluation within the past six months available for review, an evaluation is needed. I will work closely with school-based therapists and any additional team members to coordinate treatment.

How long until I get my evaluation report?

Evaluation reports will be completed and in your hand within a week. AAC evaluations will take longer depending on the amount of pre/post work needed.

Are there areas that you do not treat?

Yes. I am a fully certified Speech and Language Therapist who is licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania. I also have my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. I am able to practice in all settings requiring Speech and Language services. With this being said, I am not treating feeding, swallowing or voice disorders at this time.

How long does a typical session last?

This is dependent on the child. Typically, 45-minutes is a decent amount of time. For younger kids (birth-5) or articulation only clients,I usually find 30-minutes works better. Session length will be decided with the parent.

Do you accept insurance?

Not yet, but hopefully in the future!

What days/times are you available for treatment/evaluation?

I currently work for the school district full-time. Therefore, I am available for private treatment between 4-7 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as well as weekends depending on availability. Currently Wednesdays are unavailable.
